Comedian Tiffany Haddish never has a dull moment, from introducing Barbra Streisand to the music of Cardi B to her potluck with Taylor Swift. Or there's her story of how she taught Will and Jada Pinkett Smith about Groupon, eventually leading to her doing a Super Bowl commercial for the company.

Another memorable moment: Last month, Haddish uploaded a selfie with Beyoncé along with the caption: “Beyonce was telling me that my wig was slipping…But for real she told me to have fun and I DID!”

We never understood the story behind that caption, but Haddish explained the scenario to Vulture in a new interview.

“Okay, so what had happened was, something had went down with somebody at the party, right?" Haddish told Vulture. “I’m not at liberty to say what had went down at the party, but Beyoncé was just telling me to have a good time, and I was like, 'No, I’m gonna end up fighting this bitch!' She was like, 'No, have fun, Tiffany,' and I said, 'I’m only going to have fun if you take a selfie with me.'”

That selfie went viral after she posted it on Instagram. The Girls Trip actress was so excited that Beyoncé even knew who she was. "She came up to me and was like, 'I think you are so funny, Tiffany Haddish,'” Haddish recalled. “I was like, 'What? You know me?!' She said, 'I’m Beyoncé.' 'I KNOW!'”

The full interview touches on her upcoming projects, mispronouncing the Oscar nominees, and her career success in general.
