Troye Sivan, Jessica Chastain and Kenan Thompson on the "Saturday Night Live" stage

The singer-songwriter will make his ‘SNL’ debut on Saturday (Jan. 20).

Shortly after the release of his new single “My My My!” Troye Sivan will take the Saturday Night Live stage for the first time on Saturday, as the evening’s musical guest.

Earlier in the month, a clearly elated Sivan tweeted: “@NBCSNL, I’LL SEE YOU ON JANUARY 20. All cried out over this f---ing far fetched, crazy dream coming true. 2018 has me weak!!!!”

Two days before his Saturday Night Live debut, Sivan dropped another new track: the tender, mostly acoustic “The Good Side.” It’s expected both tunes will be performed on Saturday Night Live, and will be featured on Sivan’s upcoming second full-length album, due out in the spring on Capitol Records.

Here are five things we want to see from Sivan’s Saturday Night Live performance.

Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow

In Sivan’s music video for “My My My!” he struts, grinds and dances with abandon, losing himself to the suggestive (and sexy) song. We’d love to see Sivan channel that footloose feeling in his SNL performance. Sivan doesn’t have to refrain from jumping off the stage and sashaying through the audience either. Why not work his mojo through the crowd and get the audience up on their feet, too?

Bring on the Smoldering Models

Will the smoldering male models from Sivan’s “My My My!” video make an appearance? We can only hope so. And if they do, will Sivan actually interact with them in some fashion? It’d be great to see a live interpretation of the video -- which itself is a moody, steamy clip -- on the Saturday Night Live stage.

Sivan Singing With Jessica Chastain?

Perhaps Sivan could sing a little number with host Jessica Chastain? While Chastain isn’t known for her singing, there are examples of her being able to at least carry a tune that exist on YouTube. Why not pair them up in one of SNL’s impersonations-heavy skits that involve the cast channeling musicians?

A ‘Wolverine’ Return?

Why not have Saturday Night Live place Sivan in a skit where he portrays a singing-and-dancing Wolverine. Yes, the Wolverine. Hear us out. Sivan played a young Wolverine in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. What if Saturday Night Live imagined Sivan as Wolverine-turned-pop-star? Heck, even Tony Award-winner -- and noted singer and dancer -- Hugh Jackman (the adult Wolverine in the X-Men films) could drop in for a guest spot in the skit.

A Skit With Kate McKinnon, Please

Really, Kate McKinnon can do no wrong. And, her impressions of musicians -- from Shakira to Justin Bieber -- induce major laughter. Why not have Sivan act opposite McKinnon’s Bieber in some sort of teen idol showdown?
