If you happen to get an iTunes gift card as a stocking stuffer this year, you might want to check out Apple's list of its most popular apps, music, movies and more to make sure you haven't missed anything this year before investing.

Apple Music named its top album of the year and top song of the year on Thursday (Dec. 7), bestowing the honors on More Life by Drake and "Shape of You" by Ed Sheeran respectively. Though it was released late in the year (Nov. 10), Taylor Swift's sixth studio album, Reputation, came in as the streaming service's No. 1 U.S. top album of 2017.

As for movies, Disney's Moana topped Apple's chart. The animated film hit theaters in Nov. 2016, but songs from the soundtrack such as "How Far I'll Go" have carried it through this year, too.

Other movies making the list included: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Wonder Woman starring Gal Gadot.

And to nobody's surprise, the top television show in the world is also the top television show on iTunes: Game of Thrones
