The Vevo dscvr 2018 Artists To Watch Series is highlighting artists and areas with the opportunity for significant growth, and with its latest selection, EarthGang, it’s clear that there’s no other region boasting young, rising talent like southern Georgia.

EarthGang -- consisting of Doctur Dot and Johnny Venus -- are the second offering from Atlanta to be selected for the 2018 list, following J.I.D. last week. For another sign of Atlanta’s undisputed superiority, the two acts are the only hip-hop artists to appear on the list so far.

The duo have been active since the early 2010’s, but they reached new heights in Aug. 2017 after signing to J. Cole’s Dreamville imprint and subsequently dropping the Rags EP. They followed the buzzy summer release with another EP Robots in October, which is said to be a part of a trilogy of 2017 projects.

For their dscvr session, EarthGang performs “Artificial” from the Robots EP via Interscope. Check out the video below.

The dscvr Artists To Watch list is a globe-spanning collection of 20 artists poised to breakout over the next year and it includes alums such as Sam Smith, Alessia Cara, Jorja Smith, and Maggie Rogers.

For the 2018 list, ten U.S. artists will be announced daily between Nov. 6 through Nov. 17 as a video package with a performance and exclusive interviews produced in-house by Vevo is released. The rollout also includes an ezine with behind-the-scenes photos and video content that can be found on the dscvr website here.

The 2018 series has already featured up-and-comers such as Billie Eilish, Lewis Capaldi, and Ashe.
