Diplo Tells Swifties To 'Calm Down' After Apparent 'LWYMMD' Diss in Leaked Interview

Diplo would like Swifties to please take a deep breath. "calm down swifties 'all too well' is one of my fav songs," Diplo tweeted on Monday (Nov. 6) in direct response to a BuzzFeed headline reading "Taylor Swift fans are calling Diplo the fuck out after he reportedly threw shade at her."

This all stems from a leaked upcoming interview with Rolling Stone, in which Diplo appeared to take a shot at Swift's recent efforts:

“Music is in the hands of the kids. Streaming is literally what kids want to listen to over and over again," Diplo reportedly told Rolling Stone. “They want to listen to ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Bodak Yellow.’ They don’t want to listen to, like, ‘Look What You Made Me Do.’ That music doesn’t relate to them at all. I don’t think it ever did. They were only given that by radio and marketing budgets. I’m impressed with Post Malone. I can relate to him more than Taylor Swift.”

This gained legitimate legs when the DJ acknowledged the leaked interview on Twitter. "All Too Well" is a much slower Swift song from her 2012 album Red, before she went full-on pop.

Diplo has been the subject of Swifties' ire before back when he tweeted in 2014 that "someone should make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty" after Swift's "Shake It Off" single came out.

Following that, Diplo told GQ Style in 2015, "All I know is, don't ever get into a feud with Taylor Swift. She has like fifty million people that will die for her. It's like an army that's worse than North Korea. You can't step into that arena. That was something I was never prepared for."
