Thomas Golubic has been named the new president of the Guild of Music Supervisors.

Golubic, best known for his music supervision on such shows as Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad, follows John Houlihan, who stepped down after accepting a job as senior VP at Fox Music.

Other officers are Robin Kaye, VP; Joel C. High, treasurer, and Jonathan McHugh, secretary.

“I am very much looking forward to leading the Guild at this very dynamic and exciting time in our development.” Golubic said in a statement. “As the craft of music supervision is reaching greater levels of respect and attention, we are doubling down on our education commitment, developing a major overhaul of our membership and website presence and expanding our efforts nationally and internationally.” Guild of Music Supervision branches have already launched in Canada and the U.K. with further expansion in the works.

Golubic takes over as the seven-year old Guild reached a significant milestone via helping spearhead the creation of an Outstanding Music Supervision category for the Emmys. The winner of the inaugural Emmy this September was Susan Jacobs for her work on Big Little Lies.

On Oct. 11, the non-profit held its third annual State of Music In Media conference at University of Southern California. The event is part of a new alliance Golubic brokered between the Guild and USC’s Thornton Music Industry Program.
