The 24-cut album was recorded last April at the famous Los Angeles club and features such Beach Boy favorites as "'Til I Die" and "God Only Knows" alongside solo cuts such as "Love and Mercy" and a cover of the Ronettes' "Be My Baby." The Oglio edition will include two bonus tracks, "Sloop John B." and "Barbara Ann," and a new interview with Wilson.
Additionally, the shows featured two never-before-recorded Wilson tracks: the midtempo love ballad "The First Time" and the piano-driven, thundering "This Isn't Love." Wilson says "The First Time" surfaced in 1983, but he had "never gotten around" to singing it before his wife heard him noodling with it last year. "This Isn't Love," written with "Pet Sounds" collaborator Tony Asher, was featured in last year's film "The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas."
As previously reported, Wilson will embark on a summer North American tour with Paul Simon, beginning June 9 in George, Wash. Wilson will be backed by a 10-piece band, including the four members of his longtime backing group the Wondermints.
