The trek continues tomorrow (May 17) at Six Flags amusement park in Los Angeles, and is slated to run through mid-June.
Although details for some appearances remain sketchy at best, a few are finalized. On May 22, Weezer will play a private show for radio station contest winners at the Airborne Skatepark in Detroit, while a similar concert is set for June 8 at the Island Club in Toronto. An appearance Sunday (May 20) in St. Louis comes as part of radio station KPNT's Pointfest.
The group will also perform live on "Saturday Night Live" (May 19) and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" (June 5). A European tour kicks off June 15 at the Provinssi Rock Festival in Finland and runs through a July 8 slot at Scotland's T in the Park festival, after which Weezer is expected to return to North America for a proper headlining tour.
"Weezer," the group's first album since 1996's "Pinkerton," features first singe "Hashpipe," which is No. 2 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart this week. For further information on the Hooptie Tour, visit the group's official Web site.
