Stephen Colbert Skewers Current Events With Help From Chance the Rapper During 2017 Emmys Opening Song

Stephen Colbert opened the 69th annual Emmys with a bit of song and dance, naturally.

Challenged by Allison Janney to sing his way through his opening, Colbert broke out into "Everything's Better on TV" -- taking on the current political climate, from nazis, to Russian spies, to women's health and more.

Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, The Americans stars Keri Russell, and Matthew Rys were among the actors who reprised their roles for Colbert's tune.

Chance the Rapper even added a verse, rapping about Bob's Burgers and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

When the Late Show host entered the auditorium, he was joined by a chorus of backup dancers dressed as handmaidens from The Handmaid's Tale, which included both men and women in the fold.
