National Suicide Prevention Week is recognized every year in September -- this year, from Sept. 10-16. On Sunday (Sept. 10), which was World Suicide Prevention Day, a video appeared on YouTube from the late Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington's 15-year-old son, Draven.
In the 30-second clip, posted to YouTube by user "Sergey P," Draven looks straight into the camera and says, "Hi, I'm Draven Bennington, and I'm here on National Suicide Prevention Week. I want to make a commitment that I will to someone before I hurt myself when I'm feeling depressed, sad or going through a hard week, month or year. I want to challenge you to do the same -- to help yourself, not hurt yourself."
As Draven speaks, instrumentals from Linkin Park's 2004 iconic single "Numb" play in the background.
