English trance rock mavens Spiritualized have completed work on their long-anticipated new album, "Let it Come Down," due Sept. 11 via Arista. The album, the follow-up to 1997's acclaimed "Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space," will feature the contributions of an immense 96-piece orchestra and choir.

Produced by Spiritualized mainman Jason Pierce, the set was recorded at Sir George Martin's Air Studios in London and features keyboardist Thighpaulsandra (aka Tim Lewis) and saxophonist Ray Dickaty. Pierce gutted Spiritualized in 1999 by unceremoniously dumping bassist Sean Cook, drummer Damon Reece, and guitarist Mike Mooney. The fired trio has since resurfaced as Lupine Howl, whose debut album, "Carnivorous Lunar Adventures Of...," will be issued Aug. 21 by Beggars Banquet.

Since the release of "Ladies and Gentlemen," which was supported on a North American tour with Radiohead, Spiritualized released the double-disc concert set "Live at Albert Hall."
