Veteran modern rock act Live will release its fifth Radioactive/MCA album, "Ecstatic Fanatic," in September. The 14-track set will be preceded by first single "Simple Creed," due to hit U.S. radio on July 31. The group has a handful of tour dates scheduled prior to the album's release, including a co-headlining appearance with Stone Temple Pilots Aug. 4 at the Rolling Rock Town Fair in Latrobe, Pa.

Live frontman Ed Kowalczyk can currently be heard guesting on Tricky's latest single, "Evolution Revolution Love," which debuted at No. 39 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart this week. The album from which it is drawn, "Blowback," is due Tuesday (June 26) via Hollywood.

"Ecstatic Fanatic" is the follow-up to 1999's "The Distance to Here," which debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 1 million copies in the U.S., according to SoundScan. The set sported the rock radio hits "The Dolphin's Cry," "Run to the Water," and "They Stood Up for Love."

Here are Live's tour dates:
June 29: St. John's, Newfoundland (Mile One Stadium)
July 1: Halifax, Nova Scotia (Garrison Grounds/Citadel Hill)
July 29: Noblesville, Ind. (Verizon Wireless Music Center)
Aug. 4: Latrobe, Pa. (Rolling Rock Town Fair)
