R.A.C. Talks Working on Linkin Park's Latest Album at Outside Lands: Exclusive Video

Twenty minutes before André Allen Anjos (aka R.A.C.) was suppose to take the stage at Outside Lands in San Francisco Friday (Aug. 11), he was asked to take the main stage in lieu of A Tribe Called Quest's cancellation.

"Fortunately they were able to place us before Little Dragon -- I didn't want to be the replacement for A Tribe Called Quest," the DJ joked to Billboard backstage.

On his latest album, Ego, R.A.C. offers an impressive lineup of featured artists. From newcomers like K.Flay and Joywave, to veterans like Rivers Cuomo of Weezer -- who Anjos calls "a pro, he knows what he's doing." But Anjos also flexed his producing muscle with other projects outside of R.A.C., including Linkin Park's newest album, One More Light.

While Anjos never worked directly with the late Chester Bennington, he still felt that loss. "They're so tight -- I don't know. I was sad, just like everyone else about it."

Watch the complete rundown of what R.A.C. had to say at this year's Outside Lands in the video above.
