News on Janet, System of a Down, Blind Melon
A bout with the flu has forced Janet Jackson to postpone two more shows on her All for You tour: last night's (Aug. 7) performance in Indianapolis and tonight's scheduled stop in Pittsburgh. The Indianapolis date has been rescheduled for Oct. 18; a new Pittsburgh date is pending, and will likely take place around the same time, before the European leg of the tour kicks off Nov. 2 in Helsinki. Jackson's next scheduled performance comes Friday at the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, N.Y.
To date, five dates on the tour have been postponed. The first flu-related postponement affected Sunday's show in Cleveland, which has been rescheduled for Sept. 5. Jackson's July 18 Milwaukee show didn't go off due to her need for emergency dental surgery. A new date for that show has not yet been worked out.
The opening date of the tour's North American leg in Vancouver, British Columbia, scheduled for July 5, was also postponed, but it had nothing to do with the performer's health. A piece of stage equipment didn't arrive in time for rehearsals and the planned premiere show, so the date was moved to a few days later.
