Ed Sheeran, The xx, Alt-J, Sampha and Stormzy are among the 2017 nominees for the prestigious Hyundai Mercury Prize.

Nominations were announced Thursday morning (July 27) in London for the annual award, which recognizes the best British album of the past year, chosen by a panel of British music critics and industry figures. See the full list of nominees below.

Many of the nominated acts are expected to perform at the Sept. 14 ceremony.

The xx previously won the Mercury Prize for their 2010 debut, and Alt-J took home the award in 2012 for An Awesome Wave.

Grime artist Skepta won last year for his debut album, Konnichiwa, besting David Bowie and Radiohead.
