Ed Sheeran may have polarized the Game of Thrones fan community with his recent cameo in the HBO series' season seven opener, but he's not the first musician to guest-star on the addictive fantasy series -- and he likely won't be the last. Coldplay's Will Champion, Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody, Of Monsters and Men and others have also snagged cameos on the show, leaving fans to wonder who could be next.

For now, there are a number of artists we could imagine on set. Take Harry Styles, another British singer-songwriter who recently made his own acting debut with a role in Christopher Nolan's epic wartime film Dunkirk. Several other U.K. acts -- like The 1975, Ellie Goulding, Adele and Sam Smith -- could also offer stellar cameos. And it's not hard to picture Rihanna or Lady Gaga reigning as one of the series' royal queens.
