The release of Jay-Z's upcoming Roc-A-Fella album "The Blueprint" has been moved up two weeks, "due to overwhelming demand by consumers and retailers alike," according to a statement from the label. The album -- originally scheduled for a Sept. 25 release, then moved to Sept. 18 -- will now be made available Sept. 11.

As previously reported, Jay-Z will kick off an 18-date U.S. theater tour behind 'Blueprint' Sept. 14 in Columbus, Ohio. The tour, which will also feature labelmates Beanie Sigel and Memphis Bleek, will close Oct. 12 in Los Angeles.

Jay-Z's third album in two years, "The Blueprint" boasts production by Just Blaze, Kanye West, Timbaland, Poke & Tone, and Bink, as well as Eminem, who appears on the track "Renegade." The first single, the West-produced "IZZO (H.O.V.A.)," is currently at No. 5 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. The album's second single will be "Girls, Girls, Girls"; a supporting video is due to be shot in Los Angeles.

In other news, Jay-Z is the Yahoo! Music Artist of the Month. The Internet portal is featuring a special mini-site with downloadable audio, an extensive slate of Jay-Z's music videos, as well as interviews and information about "The Blueprint." In addition, the site will host a live chat with the artist on Sept. 26, as well as host an auction for concert tickets, and a sweepstakes.
