The 2017 Logo Trailblazer Honors, a one-hour special event celebrating leaders at the forefront of LGBTQ equality, airs tonight (June 23). Honorees this year include pop icon Cyndi Lauper and Will & Grace creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan. The event was taped at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, one of the first religious institutions in New York City to champion the causes of the LGBTQ community.
“The LGBTQ community, especially youth and young adults experiencing homelessness, need all of us now more than ever, which is why I look forward to celebrating all we have accomplished together at Logo’s Trailblazers Honors and shining a light on the work that still lays ahead of us,” said Lauper. The awards is recognizing Lauper for her unparalleled commitment to LGBTQ issues, especially through her True Colors Fund.
