The 30 most successful albums of the last 10 years will be counted down in order on a special two-part edition of "The Billboard Radio Countdown" beginning today at Billboardradio.com. The chart is based on performance on The Billboard 200 from October 1991 to October 2001, and was compiled by Billboard's chart department, under the direction of Geoff Mayfield, Billboard's director of charts...
"This is one of the most interesting charts we have ever counted down," says "Chart Beat" columnist Fred Bronson, who scripts the weekly show. "I think people will be surprised at the order the albums fall in, and which album is No. 1."
This week, host Chuck Taylor, senior editor of Billboard, will count down the top albums from No. 30 to No. 16, playing a track from each title. In the second part of this special edition, to be posted Nov. 13 on the Billboard Radio Web site, Taylor will continue the countdown from No. 15 to No. 1.
"The Billboard Radio Countdown" is produced by Patrick Eves. Each week, host Taylor counts down songs from The Billboard Hot 100. New shows are posted every Tuesday, and previous specials can be heard by going to the archives on the Billboard Radio site.
