'N Sync 'Bobbles' Into Best Buy
'N Sync fans will be descending upon U.S. Best Buy retail outlets over the next five weeks in order to pick up bobblehead dolls fashioned after each member of the group. Beginning Saturday (Nov. 24), the exclusive figures will be available for $9.99 with a minimum $25 purchase (limit one bobblehead per person).
Each week over the five-week period, Best Buy will offer a different character. JC Chasez' head will be the first to bobble beginning Saturday. Dec. 2 will bring Lance Bass, with Joey Fatone to follow on Dec. 9, Justin Timberlake on Dec. 16, and finally, Chris Kirkpatrick on Dec. 23.
Best Buy has pledged to donate $1 million from the sale of 'N Sync Bobbleheads to non-profit organizations supporting New York City relief efforts. All donations will be administered by the Best Buy Children's Foundation, an organization that awards grants to non-profit programs that develop life skills in young people.
Also beginning Saturday is Best Buy's two-week exclusive offering of the "Elevation 2001: U2 Live From Boston" DVD. The retailer, which is a sponsor of the ongoing second leg of U2's North American tour, will also be giving away an exclusive U2 CD sampler to the first 500 customers at each of its U.S. stores on Saturday.
