Chart-topping hard rock outfit Crazy Town has written 30 songs for its second Columbia album and is working in Hollywood, Calif., at the group's newly purchased studio. The label says an as-yet-intones producer will eventually be brought in to assist, but for now, guitarist Squirrel and rapper Epic Mazur are overseeing the sessions.

Crazy Town burst onto the scene with its 2000 self-titled debut, which eventually reached No. 9 on The Billboard 200 in March. The single "Butterfly" became a multi-format smash, reaching 15 different Billboard singles charts, including No. 1 on The Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks tally.

The song can also be found on the new Columbia soundtrack to the film "Orange County," alongside new singles from Foo Fighters and labelmates the Offspring.
