News on Crazy Town, Nelly, NY Metropolis Fest
Hard rock act Crazy Town has completed 20 songs intended for its sophomore album at its own Seventh House studios in North Hollywood, Calif. The as-yet-untitled album is tentatively set for a late spring release by Columbia. As previously reported, rapper Epic Mazur and guitarist Squirrel have been overseeing the ongoing process, but the band is considering various producers for the final recording sessions.
Among the finished tracks are "Boom Box Gang War," "Demonz," and "Candy Coated Pain." "We're dying to get this new music out to our fans as soon as possible!" Mazur said in a statement.
Crazy Town's debut, "The Gift of Game," debuted at No. 198 on The Billboard 200 in December 2000, and peaked at No. 9 on the chart by the following March. The album, which has sold more than 1.5 million copies in the U.S., according to SoundScan, was fueled by the multi-format success of the single "Butterfly," which topped The Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart.
