Watch Ed Sheeran, Jimmy Fallon & The Roots Sing 'Shape of You' with Classroom Instruments

Ed Sheeran’s all-conquering “Shape of You” has a new remix: the “classroom instruments” version.

Sheeran teamed up with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots for a playful rendition of the British singer-songwriter's mega-hit on The Tonight Show. For the record, Sheeran ditched the acoustic guitar for a banana shaker, Fallon handled the Casio keyboard and Questlove got to work on the guiro and kazoo.

The original version of "Shape of You," lifted from Sheeran’s upcoming album Divide, has ruled the U.K.  and Australian singles charts for seven straight weeks, and it has led the Billboard Hot 100 on five occasions. With his latest late-night TV stint, Sheeran joins the likes of Metallica, Mariah Carey, One Direction and Adele as willing participants in Fallon's cute segment.
