Frank Ocean performs during the 2014 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival on June 14, 2014 in Manchester, Tenn.

For the first time ever the Outstanding Music Artist category has expanded from five nominees to 10 overall, reflecting growing inclusion.

Frank Ocean, Sia and Lady Gaga are among GLADD's Media Awards nominees, which were announced Tuesday (Jan. 31).

The 28th annual awards are given to recognize and honor media and art for fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of the LGBTQ community and the issues that affect their lives.

The above artists are all included in the Outstanding Music Artist category for their albums released in the past year -- Ocean's Blonde, Sia's This Is Acting and Gaga's Joanne. The category also includes Against Me!'s Shape Shift With Me, Blood Orange's Freetown Sound, Brandy Clark's Big Day in a Small Town, Tyler Glenn's Excommunication, Ty Herndon's House on Fire, Elton John's Wonderful Crazy Night and Tegan and Sara's Love You to Death

For the first time ever the Outstanding Music Artist category has expanded from five nominees to 10 overall, reflecting growing inclusion in music, according to GLADD. The Outstanding Comic Book nominee pool has similarly grown in size.

Of the Spanish-language nominees, Kany García is the only nominated in the Outstanding Music Artist category for her album Limonada. Gema Corredera will also receive special recognition for her "Sin ir más lejos" music video.
