Former American Idol judge and veteran music manager Randy Jackson is joining Faction, a next-generation technology-enabled talent management services company, according to a release.

Jackson -- who recently signed YouTube star Christian Collins -- will join a growing roster of 25 manager partners including Ethan Geltzer, based in New York, and Jeff DeLia in Los Angeles. Jackson will bring over his stable of talent, which includes pop and Latin artists and producers.

“We are all thrilled that Randy, Ethan and Jeff have joined our management company and will bring their unique perspectives and experiences into the fold,” said Robb McDaniels, Faction’s founder and CEO. “The artists they so passionately represent will benefit from the expanding suite of services our dedicated employees are here to provide and we look forward to helping them build the value of their management companies in the months to come.”

Jackson, who previously worked with McDaniels at INgrooves, said he is looking forward to joining the ranks at Faction.

“I worked closely with Robb for several years when he was running INgrooves, and was impressed by the forward-thinking, service-oriented approach he built at that company,” he said. “The world of talent management needed a similar approach and solution to help us all adapt to the realities and opportunities of the global marketplace, and Faction delivers the goods.”

In addition to Jackson, Faction welcomed Geltzer, formerly of the digital marketing group at Island Records as well as a manager of EDM artists Lookas, SMLE and Just a Gent. Los Angeles-based DeLia represents Americana and blues artists including 2017 Grammy-nominated artists Bobby Rush and Janiva Magness, as well as A.J. Croce, The Dustbowl Revival and Jarekus Singleton.

The company was founded in 2015 by McDaniels with Kevin Zinger and Ivory Daniel from Regime Management in collaboration with a group of initial management partners that included Kino Childrey (Royce Da 5'9", Slaughterhouse, Pete Rock), Paul Stepanek (Sick Puppies, Trevor Hall), Marc Friedenberg (Jamestown Revival), Anna Axster (Ryan Bingham) and Brian Ross (Thievery Corporation, Blackalicious).  Faction provides managers with a suite of services. Faction provides talent managers with a centralized set of marketing and administrative services, a collaborative office environment, technology to streamline a manager’s daily workflow and an ownership structure that rewards all its management clients.
