2017 SAG Awards List of Nominees

Chicago PD star Sophia Bush and rapper/actor Common announced the nominations for the 23rd annual awards show on Wednesday morning (Dec. 14) at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. The list was topped by the drama Manchester by the Sea, which had four nominations, with Fences and Moonlight garnering three each.

The TV categories were more democratic, with five shows landing three nods each: The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, Westworld, Stranger Things, The Crown and Game of Thrones. Sterling K. Brown was nominated for his work in both the O.J. Simpson series and the year's breakout dramatic series, This is Us and 12-year-old Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things scored her first-ever notice for her work as the enigmatic 11 on the Netflix sci-fi series.

Other first-time nominees include: Riz Ahmed, Emily Blunt, Brown, Tituss Burgess, Claire Foy, Naomie Harris, Lucas Hedges, Audra McDonald and Courtney B. Vance.

The SAG announcement came two days after the reveal of the nominations for the 74th annual Golden Globe Awards, which were led by La La Land with seven, followed by Moonlight with six. 

The SAG Awards will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Sunday, Jan. 29 at 8 p.m. ET.
