It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and it’s even more festive, now that Tyler Oakley’s new Holiday Jams compilation album has arrived.

The social superstar, host and philanthropist curated the collection, which was released through the Heard Well label on Dec. 2. The 12 song set — available at all digital retailers and on physical CD through heardwell.com/tyleroakley -- includes tunes by The Raveonettes, Ron Sexsmith, Alex Newell and Josh Rouse, among others. (See full tracklist, below.)

"Christmas music is one of the only genres that resurges once a year, with the same songs, every year,” Oakley says via email. “Very rarely does a new song get added to the classics, and from November to December, radio stations redefine overkill. For Holiday Jams, I wanted to curate a playlist of underplayed, and often unknown songs, from lesser known artists, that are perfect for eggnog and opening presents by the fireplace."

Holiday Jams is the 18th release from Heard Well, which specializes in compilations curated by social media stars -- like Oakley, Heard Well’s co-founder Connor Franta, Ethan and Grayson Dolan (The Dolan Twins), Jc Caylen, Amanda Steele and Lohanthony. Heard Well sets have also impacted Billboard’s charts, including a number that have reached the top 10 on the Compilation Albums and Top Dance/Electronic Albums tallies.

Holiday Jams is the first seasonal offering from Heard Well, and the second Oakley-curated set for label, following his Pride Jams album that bowed in June. That set celebrated LGBTQ+ Pride month, and also raised money for the Trevor Project. The new Holiday Jams offering will also have a charitable angle, as proceeds will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

“Tyler loves the holidays,” says Heard Well co-founder Jeremy Wineberg, “and because his Jams compilations are all tied to a theme, this was a perfect opportunity to share the holiday cheer with Tyler and emerging artists this season.”
