Hitmaker Benny Blanco has signed a new, long-term partnership with Downtown Music Publishing.

Through the arrangement, Downtown will work with the two-time Grammy winning songwriter and producer to represent his catalog from inception through 2015.

The pact covers Blanco’s work on hits for Selena Gomez (“Same Old Love”), Rihanna (“Diamonds”), Katy Perry (“Teenage Dream,” “California Gurls”), Maroon 5 (“Moves Like Jagger,” “Animals,” “Payphone”), Taio Cruz (“Dynamite”), Ed Sheeran (“Don’t”), Ke$ha (“Die Young,” “Tik Tok,” “Your Love Is My Drug”), Iggy Azalea (“Black Widow” ft. Rita Ora) and many others.

Both parties share a decade-long alliance; Downtown signed Blanco as one of its earliest publishing clients in 2007. “It is truly an honor to re-unite with Benny and his extraordinary song catalog,” comments Justin Kalifowitz, Downtown’s CEO. “Our relationship dates back almost ten years to his Bangers & Cash days and we’ve watched him completely redefine the sound of pop music ever since. We look forward to working together in representing these towering songs for many years to come.”

Blanco added, “I first met Justin and the Downtown team about 10 years ago, and it’s been truly inspiring to watch how they have grown the company over the years. I’m a big believer in fate; so when Justin and I first started talking about working together it felt totally natural.  I’m grateful to have the chance to return to the place where my career started.”

Blanco, who is just 28 years of age, has had a hand in more than 100 million album sales and is a nine-time Grammy nominee and triple BMI Songwriter of the Year winner. In 2013, he received the prestigious Hal David Starlight Award at the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame.

In recent months, Downtown acquired Nikki Sixx’s Mötley Crüe catalog, the works of lyricist Wayne Kirkpatrick and entered into administration agreements with jazz pianist Erroll Garner, pop songwriter Itaal Shur and legendary Italian publishing company Edizioni Curci. The publisher has offices in New York, Nashville, Los Angeles, London, and Amsterdam and represents the likes of Bruce Springsteen, John Lennon, Santigold, Hans Zimmer and the Kinks.
