Musicians React to Donald Trump's Demand for Apology From 'Hamilton' Cast
Music stars like Katy Perry, Pink and John Legend are reacting to President-elect Donald Trump’s demand for an apology from the cast of Broadway musical Hamilton after a cast member directly addressed VP-elect Mike Pence from the stage Friday night (Nov. 18).
“Donald Trump has asked someone to apologize for being rude. Always good to start your Saturday off with a laugh,” Pink tweeted Saturday morning.
As previously reported, Hamilton actor Brandon Victor Dixon told Pence after the curtain that the Broadway hit's multiracial and multicultural cast is concerned about the Trump administration. The President-elect reacted early this morning with a tweet demanding that the cast apologize for being “rude” to Pence.
