Gucci Mane

The title track from Common’s 11th studio album Black America Again just received the remix treatment, courtesy of Gucci Mane and Pusha T.

The remix incorporates the personal struggles of the featured rappers into a larger rally against police brutality that Common incites over the jazz-infused instrumental. Gucci Mane discusses the hardships of "being a black man in a white man country," while Pusha T acknowledges being “part of the problem” and references victims of gun violence like Travyon Martin and the late Christopher Wallace, more famously known as The Notorious B.I.G.

Common's Black America Again album stands as an inspirational and empowering sociopolitical work of black art in the face of the politically incited racial tensions in post-election America. The LP features Stevie Wonder, BJ the Chicago Kid, John Legend and Syd.
