Enduring vocalist Neil Diamond has confirmed a fall North American tour, beginning Sept. 5 in New Orleans and wrapping Oct. 4 in Vancouver. Beforehand, Diamond will spend the month of July touring in the U.K., beginning with a July 5-6 stand in Dublin. Tickets for the North American shows go on sale June 3 via Ticketmaster; an Internet presale begins Tuesday (May 28).

The artist is touring in support of his 2001 Columbia release "Three Chord Opera," his first album of completely original material since 1974's "Serenade." The set debuted at No. 15 on The Billboard 200.

Diamond's catalog of hits has been reinterpreted with the recent CMH release "Forever in Bluegrass." The 10-track collection sports bluegrass versions of such favorites as "Solitary Man," "Forever in Blue Jeans," "America," and "Cracklin' Rosie," among others.
