Garth Brooks Joins 'The Voice' as Key Adviser

Garth Brooks is set to make his debut as a key adviser on NBC's The Voice on Nov. 14.

The country superstar  is fresh off his fifth win as entertainer of the year at the Country Music Awards as he prepares to step into the position on the singing competition. Previous key advisers include Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Rihanna and Taylor Swift, among others. Brooks will serve as the key adviser for coaches Miley CyrusBlake SheltonAlicia Keys and Adam Levine's teams and the remaining top 12.

The Voice goes live Monday (Nov. 7) night, as at-home viewers will vote the top 20 performances in real time for the first time. Two artists will advance during the two-hour telecast.

Last month, Brooks became the first artist ever to receive seven Diamond Awards from the RIAA, honoring most recently 10 million sales units for his album The Ultimate Hits. Now, looking ahead, it's shaping up to be a busy November for the iconic musician.

On Thursday, Brooks is set to appear on the Audience Network for his Garth Brooks/Yankee Stadium special. On Friday he will release the Target-exclusive 10 album boxed set The Ultimate Collection, as well as his first-ever duet album with Trisha Yearwood, Christmas Together. He will also release the forthcoming album Gunslinger on Nov. 25.
