Kanye West cut short the sixth and final night of his run at the Forum in Los Angeles when his vocals failed on him on Thursday night.

As the hip-hop superstar’s performance of “Only One” was winding down, Ye conceded defeat. Signaling to "turn the lights on," West explained, "My voice is so hoarse, I can't finish the show. ... I promise I'll do better next time." The house lights came up about an hour into the concert.

The shortened show had some ticket buyers demanding a refund, which West alluded to during his announcement. But considering there was little more than ten minutes left in the set, according to insiders, that would seem an unnecessary make-good. Still, Ticketmaster and representatives for West have yet to address the issue.

West’s sold-out six-night L.A. endurance test has been a hit with fans, the media and celebrities, with the likes of Katy Perry, Halsey, Chris Brown and West’s wife Kim Kardashian attending shows throughout the run. On Thursday, One Direction's Harry StylesDJ Khaled, Desiigner, Usher, Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz and T.I. were among the VIPs spotted in the crowd.

The Saint Pablo tour has been hailed as a marvel of concert production, with the rapper performing from a moving stage anchored above the audience. West added the Nov. 3 show only six days prior. The next stop on the trek, which kicked off Aug. 25, is scheduled for Nov. 17 in San Jose, Calif.
