Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton meet for their first presidential debate on Sept. 26, 2016 at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y. 

The second presidential debate was hyped as a “must watch” event, and early indications would suggest Sunday night’s Hillary Clinton v Donald Trump showdown was a ratings blockbuster. 

Musicians and celebs were among the millions who tuned in and live tweeted as the debate dominated social media. 

The Oct. 9 showdown between Clinton and Trump is now the most-tweeted presidential debate, breaking a the record set by the first presidential debate, which saw 17.1 million Twitter interactions when it took place Sept. 26.
