U.K. electronica/rock trio Dirty Vegas has been drafted to open for Moby's North American tour, which will play dates before and after the latter's stint on the Area2 trek. The dates kick off July 14 in Dallas and will run through Aug. 23 in Phoenix, with additional stops expected to be added. Dirty Vegas has three U.S. dates on tap beforehand, including a show tomorrow (June 27) at New York's South Street Seaport.

The group's breakthrough single, "Days Go By," continues to race up the charts. It's No. 6 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, No. 8 on Billboard's Top 40 Tracks tally, and No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, while its accompanying self-titled Capitol debut is No. 1 on Billboard's Top Electronic Albums chart. "Days Go By" also serves as the soundtrack to the Mitsubishi Eclipse TV ad campaign.

"We just hope people understand the album and realize where we're coming from musically," group member Paul Harris told Billboard recently. "We're electronic musicians who write classic songs."
