An enchanting moment in The Beatles: Eight Days a Week – The Touring Years is when the somewhat familiar face of a young fan is shown on screen. Wait … isn't that … Sigourney Weaver?

Yes, it is. The Alien actress saw the Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl, and there's even film footage of her at the concert in the movie. The American actress, who was born on Oct. 8, 1949, has said in interviews she saw them at age 12, but she would have been at the least 14 if she saw them in 1964 or 15 if she saw them the next year. The available footage suggests it was likely 1964.

She said her parents had just moved to the area, but she wanted to see the show. “I didn't know anyone, but I went to the Hollywood Bowl,” she told British TV host Jonathan Ross in 2015. “And I just remember they were so far away. I must have been in the last row. I was surrounded by all these girls who were crying and screaming like the Trojan women. It was ridiculous. But I was so thrilled and every now and then I'd go, 'Joooooooooooooooooooohn!” She said she couldn't understand why some fans were crying. “Their music is so happy and joyous.”

But the fun didn't end there. She told Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon also in 2015 about a close encounter with the group after the concert. “This other girl and I were so overwhelmed, we sort of just sorted to wander home along the road and suddenly this limo comes out. It turns the corner, comes right toward us. It slows down and in the limo are the Beatles.” She related that she and her friends all got glimpses of John Lennon, Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney. “I had to go home and lie down for really 48 hours, look at the ceiling and just go over this in my mind.”
