Jon Spumey, Jeremy Gara, Fred Armisen and Bill Hader of Test Pattern perform on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Sept. 13, 2016.

Season 2 of "Documentary Now!" premieres tonight at 10 p.m. ET on IFC.

On a press run to promote season 2 of IFC's Documentary Now!, Fred Armisen and Bill Hader dropped by Late Night With Seth Meyers on Tuesday night to perform as the "hard rock band from Connecticut via the Lower East Side" Test Pattern, which is actually their parody band from an upcoming episode with the same name.

"Got into art school, I'm gonna paint what's in my mind," Armisen sings from the fake band's single "Art + Student = Poor."
