The highly anticipated Apple event kicked off Wednesday (Sept. 7) with a very special edition of James Corden's Carpool Karaoke. Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook was the latest passenger to indulge in Corden’s karaoke party, and viewers were in for a surprise.

'Carpool Karaoke' Series Coming Exclusively to Apple Music

Cook took a break from the day’s hype and gave viewers a taste of the man behind the billion-dollar brand. “I love OneRepublic,” Cook tells Corden before belting out the band’s “I Lived” at the top of his lungs with the Late Late Show host.

As if hearing Cook’s crooning weren’t enough to keep us watching, the ride's value increases as Pharrell Williams pops into the car to sing Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama."

Past Carpool Karaoke riders have included singers Adele and Sia, as well as our very own FLOTUS Michelle Obama.
