With a seemingly unending stream of music personalities making their way into the acting world, it's Eminem and Destiny's Child's Beyonce Knowles who fans are most excited to see try their respective hands at a new form of artistic expression. In a recently completed Billboard.com poll, Eminem -- who will soon be seen in "8 Mile," a film loosely based on his life -- garnered 26% of 4,963 votes cast.
Knowles, who will make the jump to acting as Foxy Cleopatra in "Austin Powers in Goldmember," pulled in 24% of the tally. That film, which also stars Mike Myers in the title role and several others, is set to open July 26 in U.S. theaters. Madonna, already an accomplished actress with several film and stage roles to her credit, nabbed 21% in the poll. She'll soon be seen making a cameo as a fencing instructor in the next James Bond film, "Die Another Day," for which she'll also contribute the theme song.
Another 11% are looking forward to hearing the voices of Rolling Stones members Keith Richards and Mick Jagger on an upcoming episode of "The Simpsons." That same episode will now reportedly also feature several other guest musical voices, including Elvis Costello, Tom Petty, Brian Setzer, and Lenny Kravitz.
Further down the list is another accomplished actor who's better known as a music figure: Jennifer Lopez. J. Lo, whose next on-screen project is "The Chambermaid," nabbed just 6% of the vote. Behind her were rappers Eve and Ice Cube ("The Barbershop") with 5%, Charlotte Church ("I'll Be There") with 3%, 'N Sync's Joey Fatone (on Broadway in "Rent") with 2%, and rapper Lil' Romeo ("Honey") with 1%.
