Hiddleswift's Best Moments: Saying Goodbye to Taylor Swift & Tom Hiddleston's Relationship
The world learned on Tuesday (Sept. 6) that Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston had broken up after three months of dating.
Fans of the Hiddleswift relationship will be sad to say goodbye, so it's with a loving tribute we look back at the couple's best moments and bid it adieu.
May 2, 2016:
Swift and Hiddleston's public friendship began at this year's Met Gala with a video showing them dancing to T.I.'s “Bring Em Out," dressed to the nines for the night's "Manus X Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology" theme.
June 21, 2016:
Rumors of romance between Swift and Hiddleston began on June 14 when the two were spotted canoodling on the beach in Rhode Island. A week later, they were caught on Instagram at a Selena Gomez concert in Nashville, fittingly dancing along to the song "Hands To Myself."
July 5, 2016:
Hiddleswift became Insta-Official over the Fourth of July weekend at Swift's annual party at her Rhode Island seaside home. The weekend delivered a number of great photos (such as Hiddleston wearing a "I Heart T.S." tank top, like he lost some kind of bet), but the most notable was probably the first sanctioned social media post with Swift and Hiddleston. The picture was shared by Swift's good friend Britany Maack, showing the two getting cozy at the beach bash.
July 6, 2016:
The cuddling Hiddleswift photo was pretty cute until Cara Delevingne shared a new photo the next day showing her with the newly Insta-official couple and Gigi Hadid bombing down a massive waterslide, then we were all like, "With a waterslide like that, who has time for cuddling?!" As you see, Hiddleston was in the front position, or the "driver" by bobsledding terms -- per Delevingne's Cool Runnings reference in the caption.
Aug. 9, 2016:
Remember that tank top we mentioned above? There comes a time in all couple's lives that they must be publicly roasted as well. (It's a rite of passage that makes you stronger as a team.) For Hiddleswift, this came at the hands of Hiddleston's Avengers co-star Robert Downey Jr., welcoming Hiddleston to Instagram by re-posting a tabloid photograph of that regrettable "I Heart T.S." tank top, teasing that it had to do with his own Avengers character Tony Stark aka Iron Man: "Join me in welcoming the biggest T.Stark fan of them all to Instagram!"
