Paloma Faith has a double-dose of good news to share. The British pop star is about to become a mom. And then she’ll release a new album.

“I am so delighted to tell you I am going to take a short while off to have a baby,” the one-time British female Brit Award-winner revealed in a handwritten letter posted on her Website. “I have spent my whole life wanting to be a mother and now the time has come for me to do so. I feel so lucky.”

Though Faith and her boyfriend Leyman Lahcine haven't shared her due date, she plans to press pause on showbiz, enter a “low key” phase and enjoy her time with baby. Which means she’ll step aside from her role as a coach on the U.K.’s The Voice this year, and her album won’t drop in 2016. And don't expect any baby-bump selfies or newborn pix. Faith says she's determined to keep her child out of the spotlight.

The retro-soul singer’s album will be titled The Architect -- a name inspired by her impending parenthood -- and is “actually nearly finished,” she explained. Jesse Shatkin (SiaKelly ClarksonOne Direction) is producing the LP, the follow-up to 2014’s A Perfect Contradiction, which peaked at No. 2 in the U.K. and No. 4 in Australia.

“The album is sounding super exciting and I can't wait to share it with you all,” she continued. “I am very lucky and grateful in the knowledge I will get to do so very soon. Your loyalty is a gift and astounds me every album release. I am grateful for your understanding and promise to return fully fledged when I have had this moment of solitude and new life. I am beyond happy about it.”
