Vincent reimagined the “Star-Spangled Banner” on her own terms for the NFL, recording the national anthem in a more “bendy” way. The musician described wanting the new recording to be “a little bit manic or off-kilter just to represent the idea of what it is to be an American and how we’re going to be the best version of ourselves in the future in the the turbulent times in which we live.”

The Grammy-winning artist revealed she has been part of the "NFL family" since her childhood and was happy to hop on board in re-creating the song for the NFL.

“I had  this vision that I would go to a Dallas Cowboys game fully clad and they would be scouring the stands going ‘who can we get to win this football game?’ and I’d be like ‘me,’ and I would get to play with the Dallas Cowboys,” Vincent recalled. “So that is why I was excited to get the call.”
