Alternative rockers Fitz and the Tantrums are set to appear on the Wednesday (Aug. 3) live results episode of America's Got Talent, Billboard has learned.

The Los Angeles band will perform "Hand Clap," the lead single from its recent self-titled album on Elektra Records. Released in March, "Hand Clap" hit No. 5 on the Billboard Alternative chart.

The group-- Fitz (vocals), Noelle Scaggs (vocals/tambourine), James King (saxophone), Jeremy Ruzumna (keyboards), John Wicks (drums) and Joseph Karnes (bass) -- will continue the rest of their Get Right Back summer tour  beginning Aug. 18 at Ace of Spades, Sacramento, California.

Twelve more acts will compete for another seven spots through to the next round on Tuesday night, with the results announced the next day.

America's Got Talent airs Tuesday and Wednesday night's at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
