Mexican rock act Mana will kick off a 13-city U.S. tour Sept. 29 at the Magness Arena in Denver. The trip comes in support of the group's latest album, "Revolucion De Amor," due tomorrow (Aug. 20) via WEA International.
The band will donate 50 cents from each ticket sold to the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) CLASE Scholarship Fund, with tour sponsor Coors Brewing Company matching the band's contribution. A total donation of more than $200,000 is expected to benefit Latino college students in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. More information on HACU can be found at the organization's official Web site.
"Revolucion De Amor" is Mana's first studio release since 1997's "Suenos Liquidow," which topped Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart and hit No. 67 on The Billboard 200. Since then the band also released its "MTV Unplugged," which also topped the Latin chart, and collaborated with Santana on "Corazon Espinado" on the latter's smash Arista album "Supernatural."
In conjunction with the new album's release, Mana will meet fans and sign autographs Thursday at the Sunset Blvd. Tower Records location in Los Angeles.
