Not only are Canada's Lennon & Maisy YouTube sensations (their cover of Erato's cover of Robyn's “Call Your Girlfriend" has 28 million views), but they also star in the ABC musical drama series Nashville. On top of that, Lennon & Maisy are teaming up with Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization behind Sesame Street, in their Love to Learn campaign, which pairs Sesame Street characters with celebrity musicians on a learning adventure.

In October, which is the month of Music and Dancing, Lennon & Maisy will air their cover of the classic "I Don’t Want to Live on the Moon" with none other than Ernie, who was very excited to have the duo singing alongside him.

That collaboration isn't out just yet, so for now, here’s a quick preview from Billboard’s Facebook Live stream, which finds the duo singing Major Lazer and DJ Snake's "Lean On" ft. MO. Below that, Lennon, Maisy and Ernie offer some thoughts on the collaboration.

How did you guys initially get involved with Sesame Street's Learn to Love campaign?

Lennon: Well, Sesame Street reached out, and we were literally so excited, like I can't even explain it. My mom was crying, we were all freaking out.

Maisy: Especially because Sesame Street was always our favorite, and our family was completely obsessed with it as well.

Ernie, how are you doing?

Ernie: I'm well, I'm well! I love these girls so much I'm ready to go home with them. I just wanna leave Sesame Street and go home to Nashville!

What was your favorite character from Sesame Street when you guys were little?

Both: Big Bird.

Has it been hard to juggle things between the show [Nashville] and this project?

Lennon: Yeah, this has been time consuming, but we stopped filming, which has given us a lot more time to record the song, and pick at it, and make sure that everything is perfect for it. But if we were shooting, yes, it would have.

How was it working with Lennon and Maisy, Ernie?

Ernie: They were delightful! It’s a wonderful thing to sing that song with other people. Anytime you have someone coming in and singing a song like that is just wonderful.

And girls, how was it for you performing a song with someone like Ernie?

Maisy: Yeah there were some parts where we were like filming by ourselves, and then at the end, like part of his verse would come on and we would just like freak out because it's so cute.

What made you guys decide to do “I Don't Wanna Live on the Moon?”

Maisy: It's super sweet, and the actual idea of the song is so cute.

Do you guys think that working with Sesame Street has been a good way to remember how to be a kid again? Especially you guys, having to grow up so fast.

Lennon: We definitely were put into it really early, but we love it so much. It's like literally our dream and it's so much fun, but this is definitely like a good reminder of being a kid- it's been really awesome and it's just so, so, so much fun.
