Seventy-five people are dead and reports count up to 100 who have been injured after a truck drove on to the sidewalk and plowed through a crowd of revelers who had gathered to watch fireworks in the French resort city of Nice, France, on Thursday, in what officials and eyewitnesses described as a deliberate attack. The gathering was part of a celebration for Bastille Day, which is a French national holiday commemorating the storming of the Bastille and the unity of the French people.
