As investigators continue to explore the murder of Voice star Christina Grimmie, disturbing details in the life of her killer have emerged. According to a TMZ report, Kevin Loibl, who shot Grimmie June 10 following an Orlando performance, was so obsessed with dating the singer that he underwent medical procedures to look more appealing to her.

Based off input from Loibl’s co-workers at a Florida Best Buy store, the report says the 27-year old got hair transplants, underwent Lasik eye surgery and even went vegan to try to lose weight.

Loibl’s co-workers say he desperately wanted to marry Grimmie, which they sometimes teased him over. He claimed to have met her at a previous concert (in March 2016) and that he played online games with her, which her camp recently denied.

Loibl was a native of St. Petersburg, Fla. He allegedly left this note on his door the day of the murder:

Loibl shot Grimmie at a meet-and-greet following a concert in Orlando last Friday evening. He was immediately tackled by Grimmie’s brother, and committed suicide by turning the gun on himself. The singer died later that night at a local hospital.
