Six years after #donaldforspiderman trended on social media, Donald Glover is finally a member of the Spider-Man film franchise.

According to Deadline, Glover will join the cast of the Jon Watts-directed Spider-Man: Homecoming, slated for a July 2017 release. The role Glover will play is still unknown, but fans behind the #donaldforspiderman campaign, which tried to get the actor and rapper to play the leading role in the The Amazing Spider-Man, will undoubtedly be excited to see their fave on the big screen.

Donald Glover was the voice actor for Spider-Man character Miles Morales in the animated series Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors, leading many to believe he may reprise the role in a live-action version.
