Considering what a musical polymath he is, it makes perfect sense that Jack White has provided the funky little theme song to NBC's Maya and Marty show. The variety series that debuts on Tuesday night (May 31) stars Saturday Night Live alums Maya Rudolph and Martin Short attempting to revive the kitchen sink genre on a show that promises sketches, music and a "dream team" of weekly celebrity guests.

Their outing gets a soundtrack from White, who penned a 69-second drums and wah wah guitar-heavy throwback theme song that pays homage to 1970s TV tunes. White wrote and produced the track, marking the first time he's written a song for TV. He plays drums on it, alongside frequent collaborators Dean Fertita (Queen of the Stone Age) on organ and Lillie Mae Rische on guitar, as well as Dominic Davis on bass and Fats Kaplin on pedal steel guitar.
