If you could live forever, would you?
That's the provocative question at the center of new Broadway show Tuck Everlasting, based on the beloved Natalie Babbitt novel. The story revolves around 11-year-old Winnie Foster (played by actual 11-year-old Sarah Charles Lewis in the show) who is looking for some excitement and stumbles upon a mysterious well in the woods, as well as a family who explain that the magic water allows them to live forever. Foster, who quickly bonds with the family, must decide if she wants to join them in living forever, or experience all that life has to offer, good and bad, on its own.
"Making my Broadway debut in Tuck Everlasting still feels like a dream," Lewis tells Billboard. "Living in NYC, working with Casey Nicholaw and this amazing cast is incredible. I'm so grateful, it leaves me speechless. I could totally live like this forever!"
